Top 5 Animated Characters That Need To Show Up In ‘Ahsoka’
Ahsoka Tano’s character has had quite an amazing journey. Her introduction in The Clone Wars as Anakin Skywalker’s apprentice allowed her to experience the Star Wars universe in a grand fashion. Her departure from that show (and the Jedi Order) allowed her to appear years later in Star Wars Rebels. In the series, an older and wiser Ahsoka encounters an entirely new set of heroes and villains as well as a few familiar faces. She then made the transition to live-action with brief cameos in The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. Patient fans are now being rewarded with a live-action show that is centered solely on the legendary Togruta. While the show will certainly be full of surprises (and possible flashbacks) fans are still wondering what animated characters from Ahsoka’s past might make an appearance.
5. Chopper
Fans have been waiting for years for the live-action debut of their favorite murderous droid. C1–10P (or Chopper) was shot down during The Clone Wars but was saved by Hera, the daughter of Cham Syndulla. Chop (while grumpy and mischievous towards everyone) became extremely loyal to Hera and even accompanied her when she joined the Rebellion. Chopper did make an appearance in the movie Rogue One (and was recently confirmed for Ahsoka). However, the cameo was so brief most fans missed it. Hopefully, Disney does not make the same mistake again and the famed droid would have more screentime in the upcoming series.

Chopper was an integral part of the formation of the Rebel Alliance. He helped take out countless Imperials and discovered the Rebels' first base. He deserves to shine (and grumble) in live-action.
4. Hondo Onaka
Hondo is what happens when you mix Jack Sparrow with Star Wars. The rambunctious pirate first appeared in The Clone Wars where he played ally (and sometimes villain) to Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, and Anakin. He was skilled enough to capture Count Dooku and became one of the most notorious outlaws of his day. After the Empire took control, Hondo lost most of the power he had amassed but not his spirit. Years later, he appeared in Rebels not as a villain but as a friend and somewhat mentor to Ezra Bridger. He eventually became a member of the Rebellion and stayed friends with the Ghost crew and Ahsoka. Thus, his showing up in Ahsoka is not that much of a long shot. The show’s plot is rumored to be centered around the search for the missing Ezra and Hondo’s lending hands seem like a natural fit.
3. Barriss Offee
The former apprentice of Luminara Unduli was the one primarily responsible for the trouble Ahsoka faced at the conclusion of season five of The Clone Wars. Barriss Offee was a friend and ally to Ahsoka for years. However, she became disillusioned with the Jedi Order over the course of the Clone Wars. She bombed the Jedi Temple on Coruscant and framed Ahsoka for her actions. The Togruta escaped in order to prove her innocence with the help of Asajj Ventress. The former enemy and Ahsoka made some progress, but when Ahsoka called on Barriss for information, she betrayed her once again and left Ahsoka to be captured by authorities. Luckily, Anakin tracked down Asajj who convinced him that Barriss was the real culprit. Anakin confronted Barriss and forced her to confess at Ahsoka’s trial. Last we saw her, she was taken into custody. Considering the Empire took over shortly thereafter and her death never happened on screen, it is not a stretch to imagine her making an appearance in the show next year.
2. Grand Admiral Thrawn
Not all villains have to wield lightsabers or shoot lightning out of their hands to be intimidating. Grand Admiral Thrawn first appeared in the Legends books but made the jump back to canon in Rebels. He was a cold, calculating, and relentless enemy that gave the Rebel Alliance trouble for two seasons.
Even though Thrawn disappeared at the end of Rebels, he was mentioned (briefly) in The Mandalorian episode that Ahsoka appeared in. The now-famous line “Where is Grand Admiral Thrawn?” left fans wondering how (and when) Thrawn, Ahsoka, and the Ghost crew will fit in the timeline of the upcoming show.
1. Ezra Bridger
While not confirmed it seems extremely likely that the show will center on Ahsoka’s quest to find the lost Jedi Ezra Bridger. When we last saw Ezra he was saving his home planet Lothal and the Ghost crew. He trapped Thrawn and himself on a Star Destroyer bound for unknown deep space with the help of the Purrgils (whale-like creatures that live in deep space and can travel through a hyperspace).
Ezra’s journey from energetic youth to competent warrior was fun to watch and while Rebels did not end on a cliffhanger fans are desperate to learn how the situation resolves itself.
Writer and showrunner Dave Filoni is possibly using Ahsoka to finish the narrative that he started in The Clone Wars and continued in Rebels. It would make sense that certain characters from those shows would reappear to help him wrap up the story.
