New 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' Series LEGO Set Leaked
As of the writing of this article, we are still a few weeks away from the release of the Obi-Wan Kenobi television miniseries. It is probably the most highly anticipated Star Wars project since the second season of The Mandalorian. No doubt the return of the most beloved Scottish actor Ewan Mcgregor was a big boost. As we get closer and closer, and the hype is building, this might end up being one of the most-watched projects to come out of Disney+. At the very least, we have to hope that it will be better than the largely underwhelming The Book of Boba Fett.
We will find out about all of that in a couple of weeks. Right now, there are many sets being released by LEGO, hands down one of the most popular toys of all time. On August 1, 2022, a new LEGO set tied to Obi-Wan Kenobi will drop. After all, what is Star Wars without LEGO, and vice versa?

As with a lot of leaks, we only have some vague ideas of what we will see (try finding concrete details about the Knights of the Old Republic remake). Here, we seem to have all of the information from Promobricks. Set 75334 will cost roughly fifty euros and feature the promised Darth Vader vs. Obi-Wan Kenobi “rematch of the century.” The 408-piece set will depict the duel in some sort of a lava setting. The best part is that it will have two turntables for the characters to stand on, meaning that there will be some movement to showcase the combat. It will also feature two more characters from the show, Imperial Officer Tala Durith, and droid NED-B.
Ignoring the poor idea of having Vader and Obi-Wan fight in the new series at all, since it may take away from their fight in A New Hope, as well as some possible plot and character problems regarding the main series if Darth Vader knows that Obi-Wan is alive, the set itself does sound like it will be pretty cool. LEGO has been doing Star Wars sets since the beginning, and they are getting bigger and more elaborate. There are sets for pretty much all of the Star Wars movies and Disney+ series, especially The Mandalorian. While it does not seem terribly likely that we will get more LEGO sets out of the Obi-Wan Kenobi show, there is no doubt that, barring the heat death of the universe, Disney and LEGO will continue to partner with each other to make more Star Wars sets.
If Obi-Wan Kenobi is as popular and highly acclaimed as The Mandalorian, maybe we will see another LEGO set from it. However, it is more likely that we will get different merchandise completely. Well, unless the Obi-Wan series is so popular that a second season demands a ton more mon...I mean, if there is another great story to tell. Then, we might see another LEGO set out of this particular series.
Merchandising and Star Wars go hand-in-hand better than any other property. The concept for this particular set probably started the moment LEGO got enough story elements to see what they could work with. Naturally, they picked what is probably going to be the visual highlight of the series. Maybe I am wrong, and maybe Darth Vader and Obi-Wan will have their duel in a time and place that makes sense for the overall story.
In any case, the set is sure to sell like hotcakes, and a lot of people will probably have a fun time setting it up and comparing it to the actual fight in the show.
