The ‘Super Mario Bros.’ Movie Gets Its First Poster Before Dedicated Nintendo Direct Presentation Thursday

Let’s a-goooooooo! Marketing for the long-awaited Super Mario Bros. movie is finally picking up, and while the film is still several months away from release, a glimpse of anything at all will come with great relief. While it was announced in late September that the trailer would debut at New York Comic-Con on Thursday, October 6, we now have an idea of how it will be presented and made public.

On Monday, Nintendo released the first poster for the film, finally confirming the loyalty and faithfulness to the character design of the modern games. With the release came the announcement of a Nintendo Direct presentation dedicated entirely to the movie at 4:05 PM Eastern/1:05 PM Pacific on the date. No game information will be presented. It sounds as if the world premiere of the trailer will be the closer, with a probable look at production or discussion with the crew about making the movie, though it’s not quite clear.
