The Jedi Order is a huge organization that has been around for ages. We recently saw how far back it went in The Acolyte, which was set during the High Republic era. Naturally, such an longstanding institution would have some members of advanced age. Exactly how old are the oldest Jedi?

Ki-Adi-Mundi was a Jedi Master who served during the High Republic era. Fans will recognize him from the prequel trilogy, and we most recently saw him in The Acolyte. This brought controversy, because according to Legends, he was born in the year 93 BBY, and shouldn’t have been alive during that era. According to the Star Wars: Episode 1 Insiders Guide, which was a computer program released on CD-ROM by Lucasfilm back in 1999, reveals that Ki Adi Mundi was 60 years old when he met Anakin Skywalker. However, that is Legends, which is no longer canon. There is currently no canon confirmed birthdate for this Cerean male; we only know that he is quite old if he was alive and serving during the High Republic years.

Last confirmed age: 300 years old

This Thisspiasian Jedi Master was known to be one of the wisest members of the Council and, like the others on this list, lived quite a long life. He was one of the lucky ones, living longer than many of his counterparts. He was a survivor of the Great Jedi Purge, which he managed by going into hiding. His age and death have still not been confirmed. There is even a possibility that he was one of the only Jedi to live past the events of Return Of The Jedi

This Jedi Master served on the Council during the High Republic era and through the final years of the Galactic Republic. Yarael was born on the planet of Quermia. Like Ki-Adi-Mundi, he does not have a confirmed canon (or Legends) birthdate, but we know he is a few centuries old. He started on the Jedi Council in 232 BBY and continued to serve until 22 BBY. This would place the Jedi Master at over 210 years old, but with his acceptance to the Jedi Council, he could be closer to 300.

Born: 509 BBY-Died: 32 BBY (483 years old)

This Jedi Master is one of only three known members of her species. She, Yoda, and Grogu are all part of an unknown species within the Star Wars universe. She was born in the year of 509 BBY. Yaddle, like Yoda, was present during the High Republic era and trained Jedi Padawans of her own.

Born: 896 BBY-4ABY (900 years old)

One of the most iconic characters in Star Wars, Yoda was born in the year 896 BBY on an unknown homeworld. He was a Jedi Master who led the Order during the High Republic until its destruction by Palpatine and the Sith. Yoda served many generations of Jedi and eventually became the Jedi Order’s Grand Master. He survived the Great Jedi Purge, after which he exiled himself to Dagobah. Years later, he trained Luke Skywalker in the way of the Jedi arts. Yoda eventually dies during the events of Return Of The Jedi, but not before revealing some very important truths to Luke.

Many of the Jedi we saw who served on the Council were quite old. Even though all of these Jedi Masters are canon, much is still unknown about them, especially their exact ages. Maybe some of these mysteries will be revealed in future Star Wars projects.
