Patch 8, the last major update for Baldur’s Gate 3, is due out at some point in 2025, and Larian has gone all out. The update features twelve new subclasses, one for each class in the game. They will bring new abilities into Baldur’s Gate 3, as well as new cut scenes and dialog. Ones to look out for are the Drunken Master Monk, The Hexblade Warlock, and the path of giant Barbarian.

Cross-platform play has arrived. So, it won’t make a difference what console you’re logging on with; everyone can finally adventure together. Larian promised this functionality when the Baldur’s Gate 3 was released, and now it’s on its way.

Larian is also introducing a photo mode that comes with different lenses, and players will even have the ability to create stickers. There’s also going to be more ability to control the camera settings to make sure gamers can capture the scene from the correct angle, to get the Druid in Wild Shape, or the bad guy under Crown of Madness.  Added extras in photo mode, including being able to put different facial expressions on the NPCS and choosing from 40 preset poses. Content creators and meme creators are going to have so much fun with this.

Baldur’s Gate 3 has sold nearly 15 million copies worldwide since its release in 2023 and is one of the highest-rated PC games of all time. This update is going to be huge, and that’s only going to ensure the game stays fresh. We can’t wait.
