In the latest move regarding video subscription service bundles, Amazon Prime Video will soon offer the option to bundle Apple TV+ through its platform. They plan to launch this option by the end of October 2024. In addition to having a centralized location to access both platforms, users who lack Apple devices will have an easier time accessing Apple TV+ content. Adding Apple’s platform to your Prime subscription will still cost $9.99 per month, the same as a solo subscription. Combined with only a Prime Video membership, the cost would be $18.98 plus tax; the actual price will vary depending on the specific type of subscription an individual has.

Apple’s Senior Vice President of Services, Eddy Cue, made a statement on this bundle collaboration and the company’s goal surrounding it, “We want to make Apple TV+ and its award-winning library of series and films from the world’s greatest storytellers available to as many viewers as possible. We’re thrilled that Prime Video will now offer Apple TV+, giving viewers an incredible breadth of viewing options.”

Bundles have been making the rounds with video subscription services lately. Amazon is thoroughly experienced in subscription bundles, as they have over 100 options already, including CBS+, Crunchyroll, and Paramount+.  A primary intention behind these bundle options is to have media access in one centralized location. Bundling these options through Prime Video means the user can watch all their content through the same app, and the bill comes in one go rather than multiple transactions.
