Here's Who All Won At The 2024 Saturn Awards
Lucasfilm earned several awards at the 51st Annual Saturn Awards hosted in Burbank, California this past Sunday by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror Films. Andor was named the Best New Genre Television Series while The Bad Batch earned another award for the Best Animated Television Series. The show won the same award at the 50th Annual Saturn Awards. Dave Filoni, director of Ahsoka, The Mandalorian, and an upcoming untitled Star Wars film received the George Pal Memorial Award presented to filmmakers who convey a sense of wonder and imagination in their cinematic talent. Lucasfilm’s other big franchise film Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny took home awards for Best Fantasy Film while its star Harrison Ford won Best Actor in a Film, and the composer John Williams won Best Music.
Another big winner was James Cameron with his film Avatar: The Way of Water. The movie sequel won awards for Best Science Fiction Film, Best Film Direction, Best Film Screenwriting, and Best Film Visual Effects. On the superhero side, James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 earned Best Superhero Film while Xolo Maridueña won Best Performance By A Younger Performer in a Film for his title role in Blue Beetle. Margot Robbie, who missed out on an Oscar nomination, received the award for Best Actress in a Film for her role as Barbie. Check out the full list of winners below.
