‘Indiana Jones 5’ Released Its First Trailer And The Official Title’ Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny’
“I’ve come to believe it’s not so much what you believe… it’s how hard you believe”, said Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones in the new trailer for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, the latest installment of the Indiana Jones saga. Shown first in the Brazilian Comic-Con (CCXP), there is a lot to unpack in this trailer. New characters will be introduced, and old ones will be brought back.
The de-aged Harrison Ford is one of the most controversial aspects the public has known for a while. However, it looks incredible and extremely well-made. This indicates that, although set in 1969, the movie will have flashbacks to a previous time, probably pre-WW2. The flashbacks involve Nazi soldiers, the focal point of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Mads Mikkelsen will be the main antagonist in the movie, playing a character called Voller. He was confirmed to be a former Nazi scientist working for NASA. Boyd Holbrook (Klaber) will be Voller’s right hand, and it is possible to see him chasing Indy through a parade in a police motorcycle.
Indy will not be alone, though. Phoebe Waller-Bridge is set to play Helena, Indy’s goddaughter. She will likely have a significant role in helping Indy solve whatever their adventure revolves around this time. An old friend shows up as well. Sallah, played by John Rhys-Davies, returns to the Indiana Jones saga. Antonio Bandera’s character briefly pops up but hasn’t been named yet. The trailer ends with a scene that is a nod back to a classical Indiana Jones moment, where he shoots an Egyptian man that threatened him with a sword. This time around, Indy was on the opposite side of the equation, swinging a whip in a room full of people with handguns. Bad idea, Indy.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny premiers in cinemas worldwide on June 30th, 2023.
