Disney+ Announces Release Date Of ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’
Disney+ is confirming Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will premiere on the platform starting on February 1, 2023. The streaming service had its page for the film updated with the date reveal. The film grossed $820 million worldwide and $180 million on the opening weekend in the United States. Ryan Coogler directed the film.
The sequel handles the sudden passing of King T’Challa due to an illness which reflects the real-life death of the film’s star Chadwick Boseman. However, due to the film's commercial success, a third film is yet to be announced by Marvel Studios.

Nate Moore, a producer at Marvel Studios, spoke about a third film with Collider last November, saying,
“That’s a great question. To be honest, this is not me trying to not answer the question. We really want to see how audiences receive the film, and I think Ryan’s really interested to see how the film plays before we decide. There are certainly ideas we’ve floated around of what third film could be if we get to make it.”
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever stars Angela Basset as Queen Ramonda, Letitia Wright as Shuri, Winston Duke as M’Baku, and Danai Gurira as Okoye. The movie introduces Tenoch Huerta as Namor, the film’s antagonist. It also follows the struggles of Queen Ramonda and Shuri coping with King T’Challa’s death as Wakanda fights to protect their nation’s sovereignty from the outside world.
