Konami, Studio Famous For 'Silent Hill' And 'Metal Gear Solid', Opens New Studio In Osaka
Konami, a massive Japanese video game company, is relocating an existing studio. Announced during a press release, the new location in Osaka, Japan. Dubbed the “KONAMI Osaka Studio,” this studio will focus on “the concept of “Creators First,” …characterized by a well-developed environment where creators can demonstrate their full potential.” The technological capabilities back this up, as “the facility is fully equipped with motion capture equipments and sound studios necessary for product development.”
Osaka is a strategic location to settle in. The third largest city in the country, Osaka has a broad range of resources. The city has a key position in terms of finances and business opportunities, and the port there is extremely active. The company also pointed out that the location has “convenient transportation access,” which is good for employees and investors alike.

Konami will be busy for the foreseeable future. A remaster of Silent Hill 2 was announced in October 2022. A release date hasn’t been set in stone yet, but it will be available for PS5 and PC. Three other titles were announced alongside the remake. Silent Hill: Townfall is a spinoff that will develop into an anthology series.
Silent Hill: Ascension is a spinoff from the main franchise in which the player determines the outcome. Silent Hill: f will be the first addition to the main franchise in over a decade. It will be a prequel set in Japan during the 60s.
