LEGO Reveals New UCS 'Star Wars' Set
LEGO is timeless. It doesn’t matter what age you are, where you live, or what you like to make. LEGO is for everyone. There’s something transformative about building a LEGO set or building something of your own from your spare pieces. If you’ve never been to a brick convention, go. The sheer size and skill put into those creations is something to be awed by.
It’s why there’s no disappointment in the announcement of another expensive collector's set. LEGO fans don’t see price tags. They see something to show off, and now, the latest in the Star Wars UCS line has been announced. Releasing October 3, LEGO announced that Jabba’s Sail Barge would be the next addition to the line.

It’s an impressive set to behold. Complete with a LEGO Jabba and plaque with the specifications on the ship; it also comes with ten other mini-figures from C-3PO to Salacious Crumb. The ship itself measures approximately 30 inches long, which is just the right length to take up more shelf space. If it were just the sloping sides, it wouldn’t be that impressive, but the sides flip up to reveal a rather spacious interior to reenact the scene from Return of the Jedi. There’s even a little kitchen for server R2-D2 to refill drinks, a prison for unruly passengers to hold on the way to the Sarlacc pit, and a little chain for minifig Leia to choke minifig Jabba.
While to those who are not fans, the price tag may seem incredible, but for us LEGO and Star Wars fans, it’s worth it. The set will be released in a few weeks on October 3 for $499.
