Marvel's Upcoming Series, 'Agatha: Coven Of Chaos', Starring Kathryn Hahn, Set To Be A Musical
WandaVision’s spin-off series, Agatha: Coven of Chaos is set to be a musical series. Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, the husband and wife team that created WandaVision’s catchy theme songs that spanned the decades, will use their musical talents to incorporate songs into the episodes of Agatha. Not only is her coven one of chaos, but it also has members that like to harmonize with each other. Kathryn Hahn, reprising her role from WandaVision as Agatha, will be the lead singer as the title character.
Another member of this coven is renowned singer and actress Patti LuPone. LuPone is famous for her roles in Broadway musicals, including Evita, Les Miserables, Anything Goes, Sunset Boulevard, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, and Gypsy, winning the American Tony Award and the first American to win the British Olivier Award. She is no stranger to acting on TV with her breakthrough performance in the late 1980s drama Life Goes On; not to mention, she has experience playing a witch in a coven from AHS: Coven (2013-14). She will bring her singing and witch acting experiences to Disney+.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Lupone explains that her character, a 450-year-old Sicilian witch named Lilia, will sing backup to Hahn’s Agatha.
“Listen, I don't harmonize. I've always been a soprano. I've always been on the top line,'"LuPone recalled. "But it's just been great fun. There's no CGI either. What I am seeing on this show is craft."
Other cast members include Emma Caulfield Ford, Joe Locke, Aubrey Plaza, Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, Sasheer Zamata, and Debra Jo Rupp. Disney plans to release Agatha: Coven of Chaos as part of the MCU: Phase Five which will most likely be around Winter 2023.
