'Megamind' Drops Trailer For Both TV Series And Film Coming To Peacock

DreamWorks Animation is bringing back its 2010 cult classic character Megamind for a new movie, and they have already released a trailer! Titled Megamind vs. The Doom Syndicate, the film’s trailer opens with a brief recap of who the supervillain-turned-hero is. The immediate conflict, Megamind’s old villain crew, arrives, ready to cause a ruckus in his city. While the trailer focuses on the film’s synopsis, it isn’t the only piece of media coming; a new series, titled Megamind Rules!, is on the way as well! More information may come as the release date approaches. Both the movie and the series will be streamed on Peacock. Check the trailer out below!

Megamind vs. The Doom Syndicate is already making waves amongst the original Megamind fans, as the characters' voices have been recast. The film centers around a newly-made heroic Megamind as his former villain team comes to town. Megamind must pull his friends together to combat this group and ultimately keep Metro City intact. The series Megamind Rules! was first announced in February 2022. It is vaguely a follow-up to the 2010 film Megamind, following the titular character as he learns to be a superhero. He embraces the role of “superhero influencer” on the job, having his brainbots vlog the experience.

Both new pieces of Megamind content will be released on March 1, 2024, exclusively on Peacock. The new era of Megamind features a new cast of voice actors, including Keith Ferguson as the titular character, Laura Post as Roxanne Ritchi, Josh Brener as Minion, and Maya Aoki Tuttle as Keiko Morita. Love it or hate it, at least new meme formats will be up for grabs!
