Netflix's Adaptation Of 'The Sandman' Has Been Renewed For Season 2
Netflix have unsurprisingly renewed their adaptation of Neil Gaiman's dark comic The Sandman for a second season. This summer, the anti-hero Dream caused a sensation, racking in over 125 million hours watched in the first week. The series surpassed Stranger Things 4 in terms of popularity, and despite rumors of cancellation, it looks as if the Endless are on their way back to our screens.
The renewal announcement comes as a result of an accidental leak on DC Comic's Twitter page on Wednesday 2nd of November. The erroneous tweet, (which was quickly deleted) according to The Independent said “The dream continues. [The Sandman] will return with new episodes based on multiple volumes of the Neil Gaiman graphic novel to explore even more stories of the Endless.”

Netflix and Gaiman have had no choice but to come out and confirm the leak but they gave us no additional details as to when the episodes may drop or any additional casting. The only hint we've had is that the plot will continue to be based on the graphic novel, so fans can go and scour the 75 issues for clues. But it will be worth the wait to see Tom Sturridge, Jennifer Coleman and Gwendoline Christine back on our screens.
