These days, it seems like there’s almost nothing Star Wars fans can agree on. Do you prefer the sequels or the EU? Do the prequels contain a deep hidden political message that pushed forward special effects and provided cool action scenes, or are they just a CGI green screen nightmare with cringe dialogue? Are Ewoks cute, or annoying? What are your thoughts on Rey? No matter which of these questions you ask, it seems like you’ll spark an online debate that can make a blaster seem civilized by comparison. However, one thing fans can unite on is the fact that Star Wars has been filled with great music. It seems as if that trend is continuing, with Star Wars: Jedi Survivor being nominated for best video game score nominated for a Grammy for best video game score.

Stephen Barton and Gordy Haab who created the score were congratulated by the Official Star Wars Twitter page after the nomination was announced. Haab has been working on Star Wars video games since he started in 2011 with Star Wars: The Old Republic, an MMO based thousands of years before the events of the movies. Barton is a more recent addition to the team, having started with 2019’s Jedi: Fallen Order, the game that Star Wars: Jedi Survivor is a sequel to.

The Grammy’s will be on February 4, 2024.
