Many Fallout fans had hoped to see the Once in a Blue Moon update go live on June 13th. Unfortunately, the date got pushed back, making players wait an extra week for the update to go live. The Fallout: Once in a Blue Moon update will feature two new cryptids, two public rewards, season 13, the Ogua Gauntlet, and changes to expeditions. In the new update, expeditions will no longer need an ultracite battery or completed Refuge dailies. Additionally, Refuge dailies also award treasury notes.

The first public event added is “Safe and Sound”. This event will feature a new cryptid called the Blue Devil. When players take part, they will need clear out the pit stop. Once players repair the central generator, they will need to defend it against an onslaught of critters. The final wave will include the legendary Blue Devil. The Blue Devil will give players the fear status effect like Earle Williams does in the event A Colossal Problem.

The other event coming to Fallout 76 is the “Beasts of Burden” event. This event will feature the infamous Mothman cultists. Players will need to defeat Cultists Sanctifiers to loot and plant the explosives. After doing so, players will collect and deposit 20 supplies for the nearby Brahmin. At the end of Beasts of Burden, players will need to test their firepower against the Legendary Ogua. Once players complete the event, they can get the Ogua Gauntlet. This unique gauntlet, as well as other unique weapons, can be rerolled for more desirable effects in the Once in a Blue Moon update.

Additionally, a series of quests will be introduced in the Once in a Blue Moon update. The Costa Business daily quests reward new outfits, camp items, and skins. The rewards consist of a Blue Ridge toy truck, a trucker's outfit, a farmhand outfit, the Blue Ridge scout helmet, and a Blue Ridge stash box. Players will also have the chance to earn a clean sleeping bag, Sheepsquatch poster, and the Blue Ridge guardsman paint. These quests can be obtained once a day from Vinny Costa at the eastern entrance of the Big Bend Tunnel.
