The Martin Scorsese Documentary On 'The Beatles' Gets A November Release Date
One of the greatest directors of all time has been making a documentary about one of the greatest bands of all time, and now there is a release date. Scorsese has given the directing role to David Tedeschi and is choosing to produce the doc, simply named Beatles 64, which will be released to Disney+ on November 29. It will feature never-before-seen footage of the band and interviews about Beatlemania with Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.
The doc follows Starr and McCartney, as well as George Harrison and Paul McCartney, as they tour New York in 1964, including their appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show, which broke the record for highest viewed TV program of all time at the time, drawing in over 73 million viewers.
