A Live-Action 'The Legend Of Zelda' Movie Is In The Works

After the success of the Super Mario Bros Movie earlier this year, and the success of The Sonic The Hedge Movie franchise, the idea of a video game movie is no longer a laughing matter. With that in mind, Nintendo hopes to continue the success set by The Super Mario Bros. movie with another one of their most successful franchises: The Legend of Zelda.
Shigeru Miyamoto, the producer of the Super Mario Bros Movie will be returning to the role, alongside Avi Arad. “This is Miyamoto. I have been working on the live-action film of The Legend of Zelda for many years now with Avi Arad-san, who has produced many mega hit films,” Miyamoto tweeted on X. “It will take time until its completion, but I hope you look forward to seeing it.”
Rumors of a Legend of Zelda Netflix series were once present, but no such series was ever officially announced.
