A 'Mass Effect' Series Is In The Works At Amazon
It’s undeniable that we’re living in the age of video game adaptation. Fallout, Borderlands, The Witcher, Super Mario Bros, Sonic, the list is ever-expanding. A large player in the video game adaptation game is the online sales giant Amazon. It previously released a Fallout adaptation show on Amazon Prime to massively positive reviews. Now, it’s giving it another go with an even more popular franchise.
In its heyday, the sci-fi series Mass Effect was one of the most popular video games in all of gaming. The story of Commander Shepard leading a crew of whoever would join him/her to fight the seemingly unstoppable Reaper machines was endlessly fun, especially since your actions from one game carried over to another, so no one playthrough would be exactly the same. It remained popular throughout the trilogy with a very solid ending that nobody had anything negative to say against it. Several years later, Mass Effect: Andromeda was released to a resounding… meh. That’s the last we’ve gotten so far.

We do know that another game in the Shepard timeline is in the works, but it’s also been announced that a Mass Effect series is on its way. Details of it are sparse, but we do know that it’s being written by Daniel Casey, who wrote F9: The Fast Saga. Outside of that, we don’t have anything. We don’t even know if the story will follow Commander Shepard.
However, and I think all fans can agree, they would be foolish to take another route.
