A New Trailer For The Upcoming Max Series, 'The Penguin' Has Been Released

A new teaser trailer for the upcoming Max series The Penguin has been released. Starring Colin Farrel as the titular character, also known as Oswald Cobblepot, the series takes place a mere week after the events of The Batman and follows his rise to power in the criminal underworld. However, he has to contend with the Falcone family, including the late Carmine Falcone’s daughter, Sofia (Cristin Milioti), for control. Cobblepot also meets the teenage Victor Aguilar (Rhenzy Feliz), who becomes his driver and a close ally. The trailer focuses on these aspects, as well as Cobblepot’s time in prison, and related subplots.
The Penguin series is created by Lauren LeFranc, and produced by 6th & Idaho, DC Studios, and Dylan Clark Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. The series will make its debut on Max sometime in September of this year and will span eight episodes. In addition to the actors previously mentioned, other cast members include Clancy Brown, Michael Kelly, Scott Cohen, and Mark Strong, among others. The Penguin has been a part of Batman’s rogue gallery for years, and it’ll be interesting to see him up close like this. Until then, we must return to our caves and wait for it.
