Here Are All The Games That Were Announced During Nintendo Direct

The June 2024 Nintendo Direct has teased fans with what is to come in the near and distant future. The presentation primarily covered the second half of 2024, with a bit of 2025 also thrown in. From Mario and Legend of Zelda announcements to Metroid updates, here are the new games announced during the event.
An exciting new Legend of Zelda game switches up the franchise’s standard approach. The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom puts Zelda as the game’s main protagonist. Citizens of Hyrule, including Link, have gone missing, and it’s up to the princess to solve the mystery. As many LoZ games are, this installment is heavily puzzle-based with the help of a fairy. It will be released for Switch on September 26, 2024.

Not one, but two Mario games were announced! Mario & Luigi: Brothership sends the titular pair on a ship sailing adventure, exploring new areas as they try to return to the Mushroom Kingdom. It will be released for Switch on November 7, 2024. Super Mario Party Jamboree will be a “bigger, bolder Mario Party” available for the Switch, filled to the brim with minigames, new boards, and a massive multiplayer mode. It will be released on October 17, 2024.
A new fighting game, Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics is coming to the Switch sometime in late 2024. Marvel Super Heroes, Marvel vs. Capcom Clash of Super Heroes, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, The Punisher, and X-Men Children of the Atom will all be under one title. Original elements of the games as well as new content will be included.

A few highly-anticipated release windows were announced during this event as well. The Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D remake will be released on November 14, 2024, and the first and second installment remakes have a release window of 2025. Metroid Prime 4: Beyond got an official update as well: its release window is set for 2025.
Finally, new port updates were released. Fantasian, a role-playing mobile game released in 2021, will have Neo Dimension added to its name and be made available for Switch in the winter season of 2024. The mobile game Hello Kitty Island Adventure will come to the Switch in early 2025. Finally, the Wii game Donkey Kong Country Returns will be available for Switch on January 16, 2025.
