New 'Marvel Rivals' Season Reveals Emma Frost First Look And Peak At Professor X

Hit sensation, Marvel Rivals, is about to launch its second season, and the characters that will be first available in the new season have been revealed, heavily featuring the X-Men, in a way, and there’s also a leak that claims to have more to come.
The first new characters to be revealed are Emma Frost, also known as The White Queen, and Ultron. Emma Frost is confirmed to be a Vanguard character, the tanks of the team-based hero-shooter/fighter game from NetEase. It tracks since, aside from telepathic abilities, the often scantily clad mutant has the ability to turn into a diamond version of Colossus.
Speaking of Colossus, his name appears on the list of apparent characters coming in later releases, alongside Professor X, and some lesser-known X-Men characters and Marvel characters like Jia Jing, Locus, and Paste Pot Pete. These are not confirmed yet.

Alongside Emma Frost in season two’s character drops is Ultron. It is unclear what role Ultron will play, but the role types the game offers are Strategists, the support class of the game, and Duelists, the attacker/damage-dealer class of the game. This is speculation, but given Ultron’s nature, it makes more sense for his character to be supporting rather than a damage dealer.
In addition to the new characters, and sticking with the X-Men focus (perhaps acknowledging the recently revealed cast of Avengers: Doomsday?), the new map and theme is the Hellfire Gala on Karakoa. Krakoa, for the uninitiated, is the living, sentient island that the mutants of the world call home and sanctuary. Furthermore, there will be new skins, new weekly missions, and new character team-up abilities.
Season two launches on April 11.
