As more and more series start to hit the big screen, movies based on children’s shows are no exception. Margie Cohn, president of DreamWorks Animation announced that Estefan will be playing Gabby’s Grandma Gigi, with Wiig playing an eccentric cat lady named Vera who ends up with Gabby’s dollhouse. Laila Lockhart Kraner will be reprising her role from the TV cartoon show.

The show, which often ends up on Netflix’s list of top 10 most popular shows, is currently in its eleventh season. It ratings are often compared to The Lincoln Lawyer, Reacher and Bridgerton. The show is about Gabby, a tween girl who uses magical powers granted by cat ears to shrink down and go on adventures with her friends who she calls the Gabby Cats.
