With the first season of Andor now beyond its halfway point and the second season of The Bad Batch already on the horizon, the attention of Star Wars fans is slowly turning toward what the franchise has in store for 2023. And one of next year's major new releases on Disney+ is the Ahsoka series starring Rosario Dawson as the former Togruta Jedi.

Principal photography of the show, which is helmed by Dave Filoni started earlier this year and it seems that filming is wrapping up, at least for some of the major cast. Natasha Liu Bordizzo, who plays the Mandalorian Sabine Wren recently posted "what a year. This journey..." followed by @StarWars and #SabineWren on her Instagram account.

She also included a rather cryptic message about the importance of stories in our lives, followed by two drawings of Sabine, one from Dave Filoni himself and the caption "The Force will be with you...always".

While this post does not necessarily imply that her work on Ahsoka is indeed done, some of the comments made by members of the Ahsoka crew surely do make it seem that way:

“Thanks for leading the team #TeamSabine #PushingAlexisFun #ImNotCryingYoureCrying”, or “You freaking rocked it!! And to have the last scene of the night end with your badass moves was epic”, while a stunt performer wrote: “This was a fun story to be a part of. Thanks for being you. You made it fun!“

Although the story of Ahsoka is still very much under wraps, it is safe to say that the series will be a continuation of the animated show Rebels. The series ended with the former Jedi padawan and the former member of the Spectre crew going on a quest to search for the young Jedi Ezra Bridger, who had vanished into the Unknown Regions together with the Imperial Admiral Thrawn.

Season 2 of The Mandalorian already made it clear that the Togruta was on the lookout for the blue-skinned Imperial and Bordizzo's involvement clearly shows that she won't be alone on her journey.

And while her work on the series may be finished, for now, it is quite certain that Bordizzo will get back into Sabine's colorful armor again. As Dave Filoni always tries to connect his various projects, Sabine could easily show up in a future episode of The Mandalorian or The Book of Boba Fett.

And then there is also the big crossover project that Lucasfilm's CEO Kathleen Kennedy teased a few years back, which should bring all the shows and the main characters of the Filoni-verse together in one epic climax.
