'Daredevil: Born Again' Will Be A Courtroom Drama According to Charlie Cox

Fans of Daredevil have been excited for quite some time to see his return to front and center in the MCU. Charlie Cox’s presence in Spider-Man: No Way Home, for instance, was a pleasant surprise, as he kindly gave expert legal advice while using his keen senses and lightning-fast reflexes to catch a brick thrown through the window of everyone’s favorite neighborhood Spider-Man. Further, fans got a taste of him again in the recent Disney+ limited series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law; perhaps not as good of a taste as Jennifer Walters got, but we digress. Viewers did, however, witness Matt Murdock’s grace in the courtroom.

As Murdock was seen in both the above instances representing the concept of law and order primarily through the window of the court, it makes sense that his specific series would have a heavy courtroom focus. The upcoming series will be double what we have seen in other limited series – an expected 18 episodes, in fact. In an interview with GQ UK, Cox said, "I think because of the number of episodes they've committed to, there'll be a heavy influence of courtroom stuff—Matt Murdock, the lawyer in the new show." He went on to say, "So I'm heavily focused on researching that area of this character and his life. It was one of the areas we didn't do a huge amount of exploration around before. Even my accent is probably really rusty.”
