For four years fans of Alita: Battle Angel sat with somber thoughts on a sequel making its way to theaters. After the success of Avatar: The Way of Water there's a chance for Alita to reappear on the big screen. Recent reporting indicates two of the producers of Alita: Battle Angel, Jon Landau and Robert Rodriguez, seem to be talking with Rosa Salazar about a lead role in At least two possible films Alita: Fallen Angel and Alita: Avenging Angel. Fans should remember that there is no official release date yet. In 2019 Rosa Salazar portrayed Alita in the first film setting up sequels, ending on a cliffhanger with Alita pointing her sword up at Nova, the villain of Battle Angel.

Furthermore, Jon Landau shared an interview with Screenrant revealing what Jon had to say about Alita: Battle Angel by stating,

“What we've learned from Avatar is how much more facial nuance and subtlety that we can get into characters that we want to be emotional and emote that are humanoid."

Jon would continue to open up in the interview by saying.

“Alita would not have been possible, but for what we did on Avatar. Avatar: The Way of Water would not be what it is but what we did for Alita. And now let's put that back and give it back to Alita.”

After seeing the positive reception Avatar has received seeing Alita also receive that same love from the producers leaves many fans hopeful that the trilogy will see a conclusion.
