Another page in the history of the galaxy turns, as Disney World says goodbye to another attraction. According to sources close to the Walt Disney Company, Star Wars: Galactic Cruiser is being permanently shuttered; the building that housed it is now being converted into office space. Walt Disney Imagineering, the division responsible for attractions, will be using the building as a hub, as it plans several expansions to Disney World in the near future. Star Wars fans hoping for a return to the cruiser will certainly be disappointed, but the experience was reportedly a money sink for the theme park.

Star Wars: Galactic Cruiser was a Star Wars-themed hotel stay at Disney World. Though initially showing promise, the attraction drew much less interest than Disney expected. As a result, Galactic Cruiser closed after a few months, with no news on whether or not it would return. With these new reports, it appears that the attraction has been closed permanently. Until Disney gives an official report, however, we can not confirm or deny any of this. We will have to wait and see but try not to get your hopes up. We will now return to the Unknown Regions of the internet, and see you later.
