Fire Breaks Out on Set of 'Rings of Power' at Bray Studios in UK
It looks like Sauron has cursed the production of season two of The Rings of Power. Production of the show has been beset by some tough times in the last few months. A fire broke out on set not too long ago, and then on March 21, sadly, a horse suffered cardiac arrest during a charge scene, drawing the condemnation of PETA and a call to end the use of animals in shows.
And now, on Monday, another fire broke out on set at Bray Studios in Windsor.

According to the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service responded to reports of plumes of smoke at the studio near Windsor. Crews from three stations (Bracknell, Slough, and Maidenhead) responded to the call and reported to a single-story storage warehouse. It took them over four and a half hours on site to douse and control the situation.Variety states that they learned that the blaze seems to have started as a result of an electrical fire.
It’s the latest in a seeming stream of accidents at the Bray Studios location since moving production to the UK from New Zealand. Thankfully, no injuries were reported, and filming was stopped for a brief period to make sure that no one had been hurt and that it was safe to continue. From an aerial photo per @FellowshipFans, the damage looks extensive on the warehouse. Hopefully nothing further occurs as there seems to be some time still before filming wraps.
Season two isn’t due to air until sometime in 2024. Season one is streaming in full on Amazon Prime Video.
