As Lord of The Rings fans prepare for the launch of the mobile game The Lord of The Rings: Heroes of Middle Earth to be launched on May 10th, the game’s dedicated Youtube channel has launched an official trailer showing some gameplay. This is the first trailer to show any gameplay footage and can be seen below.

The strategy RPG game will be released to the Google Play and Apple App stores upon release and will feature both PvP and PvE combat, and will "adventure across the land to experience familiar & alternate tellings of Tolkien characters." The characters in the game will be ‘upgradable’, and the battle will be turn-based, similar to many pre-existing mobile games. Game director Nick Reinhart has stated that "We've got a lot of awesome content and feature plans coming. It's got lots of beloved characters, along with maybe a few new faces," he said, while also saying that the game would be continuously supported after launch.
