Grant Gustin Says He Is Open To Future Roles Within DC Projects
After 9 successful seasons, The Flash is coming to a close. Grant Gustin has become the face of the character after playing the scarlet speedster in his series and numerous crossovers. As fans say goodbye to his character, he's left the door open for future projects with DC.
While speaking with US Weekly about his last outings as The Flash and whether or not he'd return in the future, Gustin said:
“I can’t wrap my head around it right now, obviously, but if someone called me today or tomorrow and was like, ‘Hey, we have this amazing Flash idea,’ obviously it’s like, I’m gonna take that phone call and listen to that idea. And I think this is a character that I’m going to — no matter if I play it again [or not] — I’ll probably be associated with this character more than anything else in my career, for the rest of my life. So, I’ll always listen to any Flash pitch. I mean, it’s very, very close to my heart. I think it always will be.”
While many were hoping to see Gustin in The Flash movie, premiering June 16th, both he and director Andy Muschietti have stated that won't be the case. For now, fans will simply have to savor the last two episodes of The Flash TV series airing May 17th and 24th on the CW at 8 p.m. ET.
