For now, Cristin Milioti is made for HBO Max. Even after her last series, Made for Love, was a casualty of the WarnerMedia and Discovery merger that formed Warner Bros. Discovery, she’ll be sticking with the streaming service for her next gig.

She has been cast in the DC limited series currently under the working title of The Penguin, centered around the Colin Farrell-portrayed iteration that debuted in The Batman. Her role? Sofia Falcone, the daughter of Carmine Falcone, played by John Turturro in the film. In the comics, the character debuted in The Long Halloween, a major inspiration for The Batman. In the original story, the culprit she helped uncover with her father was not the Riddler but someone closer to both Falcones. The character’s only previous TV iteration was on Gotham, where she was played by Crystal Reed.

Milioti first grew to prominence as Tracy McConnell, the finally-revealed Mother on How I Met Your Mother, appearing over the final 25 episodes of the series. She also had a memorable guest appearance on 30 Rock beforehand she still gets recognized for. Since then, she’s also starred in the “USS Callister” episode of Black Mirror and the Peacock series The Resort with William Jackson Harper, which premiered in July and awaits renewal.
