Actor Jonny Coyne is returning to the Galaxy far, far away, as he’s been announced as among the cast of The Mandalorian and Grogu. His role, though a minor one known only as “Imperial Warlord”, appeared as a member of the Shadow Council, a meeting of Imperial officers that seemed to be leading the charge after the end of the Rebellion. “Imperial Warlord”, in a meeting with Moff Gideon, mentions some opportunities in “plundering the hyperspace lanes.” This earns him some criticism from Captain Gillad Pellaeon, who says that his “hit and run operations are gaining too much notice” from authorities.

As The Mandalorian’s film debut approaches, it will be interesting to speculate about what Jonny Coyne’s role will be. Maybe he’ll be a major antagonist, maybe just a secondary one. His role will likely get a name, and maybe they’ll clarify his role and rank. Of course, there’s still plenty of time for more information to come out, as The Mandalorian and Grogu is scheduled for a 2026 release date. In the meantime, Culture Slate will be here to give all of our readers all the latest updates on Star Wars and beyond. Now, it is time for us to return to the Unknown Regions of the Internet.
