More Details Released From Japan About 'The War Of The Rohirrim'
Tolkien lore and works based on his writings are growing by the day. New games. New shows. New movies.
One of those new movies is The War Of The Rohirrim, which recently released trailers for the upcoming film. One of the major differences about this film compared to the others, is that it is done in the style of Japanese anime. As such, there is an English language version and a Japanese language version. Of course, the internet picked up on some key differences between the two trailers that were released.
One of the most notable differences was the revelation that Saruman would be featured in some way in the movie. It makes sense since his residency at Orthanc was next to Rohan, which became problematic during the Two Towers when Saruman had forsaken his task to take care of humanity and attacked Rohan.

More details come out of an article in a Japanese publication AV Watch. According to AV Watch, the original Japanese dub of The Lord of the Rings featured Takako Honda voicing Eowyn, and she will be reprising her skills as Olwyn, a character that supports Princess Hela.
Other Japanese dub veterans for the Lord of the Rings movies are returning to voice characters in The War of the Rohirrim, voice actors like Manabu Muraji. He voiced Meriadoc Brandybuck in the Jackson trilogy, and this time around he will be voicing an orc named Lot, who is apparently on a hunt for rings for Mordor.
It’s sure to revitalize the Tolkien community when the film releases on December 13.
