Scarlett Johansson And Gwyneth Paltrow Squash Feud Rumors And Declare Time With Marvel Over
Gwyneth Paltrow, founder, and CEO of goop brought actress Scarlett Johansson on as the featured guest for the April 18th episode of The goop Podcast. During this episode, Paltrow and Johansson reminisced on their MCU days and clarified their future with the company. The actresses previously worked together, portraying Pepper Potts and Natasha Romanoff respectively.
The women easily rejected all connotations of drama between them, a rumor that has been persisting since 2010. Johansson opened up deeply regarding her feelings at the time, explaining to Paltrow, “You were so nice to me on that movie. I was so petrified. You were so nice to me! You could’ve been awful. I was so out of my comfort zone on that movie. I’d never done anything like that before. Plus, you had established such deep friendships.” Paltrow confirmed to her coworker that the Iron Man cast was “so psyched you were there. I was so happy to have another woman around.”

They continued in the line of Marvel-related conversation. Johansson was firm on the future of Black Widow in her portrayal. The actress confirmed, “I’m done, chapter is over. I did all that I had to do. Also coming back and playing a character again and again, over a decade of time, is such a unique experience.”
Paltrow’s future is a bit less defined. She stated, “I think so. I mean, I didn’t die so they can always ask me.” In a quip, Johansson said that Paltrow’s character “may come back at some point” and that they’ll “never gonna let [her] go.”
