A new teaser trailer for Sonic Prime has just been released on SEGA’s YouTube channel. In addition, a new release window has been confirmed, with the series slated to release in Winter 2022. The trailer features new shots of Sonic running through Green Hill Zone in addition to a fight with Shadow, a shot of Big the Cat with his friend Froggy, and shots of Sonic fighting Eggman.

These shots also feature new glimpses of Deven Mack’s performance as Sonic in addition to a taste of the voice of Eggman in the show, who fans suspect might be Mike Pollock, the voice of the mad scientist in the games since 2005 (which was when the cast from the 2003 Sonic X anime was brought in).

Though the game cast is said to be not returning due to the show being produced in Canada, Pollock is being coy about his involvement in Sonic Prime:

Nonetheless, the trailer is action-packed and filled with suspense. Though the release window given is Winter 2022, a press release by WildBrain earlier this month stated Sonic Prime’s release window to be December 2022. The teaser trailer was well received by fans, with the anticipation for the upcoming Netflix series growing even more. So are you looking forward to Sonic Prime?
