'Zootopia 2', 'Moana 2' Get Release Date - Timeline Slotted For 'Toy Story 5', 'Frozen 3', And 'Mandalorian and Grogu'

Disney fans have some movies to look forward to in the next few years, and a few of them even have release dates. It was revealed a while back that fans should expect sequels to series such as Toy Story, and Frozen. A sequel to Zootopia is also in the works. Most recently a new Star Wars movie was revealed, titled The Mandalorian And Grogu. The biggest surprise however was the release date for Moana 2.
With the popularity of Moana, it's not a surprise that the movie will finally have a sequel. It was announced that Moana 2 will be coming to theaters in November 2024. The announcement was accompanied by a new trailer. The movie will take audiences on an “expensive new journey with Moana”.

The next few movies have a bit longer wait. Zootopia 2 will be arriving on November 26th, 2025. Bob Iger also confirmed that the new Alien movie will be released on August 16th, 2024, titled Alien: Romulus. The exact dates for Toy Story 5 and Frozen 3 were not revealed, but fans should expect them to be released sometime in 2026.
Star Wars will also be returning to the big screen in the coming years, with three new movies. We know the basics of each, one will feature the return of Daisy Ridley as Rey Skywalker, who will train a new generation of Jedi set after the events of the sequel trilogy. Another will be directed by Dave Filoni. The first of the three films however will the a continuation of the Mandoverse, and is titled The Mandalorian and Grogu and will be released in 2026.
It seems that Disney isn’t planning on slowing down anytime soon. 2026 is shaping up to be a big year for the company, but it's still a few years away. This year however, fans have Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, Deadpool 3, and Moana 2 to look forward to.
