The Best Moments From 'The Bad Batch'

Even though The Bad Batch ended last year, it’s still one of the best Star Wars shows of all time. We were first introduced to Clone Force 99 in the last season of The Clone Wars.
They played an essential part in rescuing Echo, who then became a member of their squad. While I wish we got more seasons with the crew, I am grateful for the ones we did get.

7: Commander Cody Returns

One of the biggest questions after the events of Revenge Of The Sith, was what happened to Commander Cody? The Bad Batch season 2 answered that question.
We see Cody swear loyalty to the Empire, similar to his brothers. “The Solitary Clone” gives us some great action with him fighting alongside Crosshair, but it also has him begin to question the Empire. At the end, he decides to go AWOL. It was great to see him again, and hopefully he was able to live a long life, away from the Empire’s grasp.
6: Cad Bane Faces Off Against Fennec Shand

One of the best bounty hunters in Star Wars is Cad Bane. He’s been a fan favorite since appearing in The Clone Wars, so it only made sense for him to return in The Bad Batch.
Bane is going after the bounty on Omega, but he's not the only one. He meets his match with Fennec, who is also going after the bounty. The showdown is incredible, and it's exciting to see these two characters face off.
5: Rex Removes The Inhibitor Chips

When the Clones were first created, they each had an inhibitor chip installed, that the Empire used later to destroy the Jedi. Rex managed to evade this, with the help of Ahsoka Tano, who removed his chip. He goes on to return the favor to Clone Force 99. Even though they managed to evade Order 66, the chip still affected Crosshair, who went on to work for the Empire.
4: Tech Sacrifices Himself

The squad’s escape from Eraidu does not go as planned. They are on a cable car over a ravine, and being chased by the Empire. It’s not looking good for them as the Empire closes in. Tech is the one in charge of getting their railcar moving again, but an explosion makes it harder. He ends up dangling from the car over the ravine.
Before he falls to his death, he utters “when have we ever followed orders?”. This showcased his courage and bravery until the end. While it’s one of the saddest moments of the show, it’s also one of the most important.
3: Omega Reuniting With Her Brothers

Another moment from season 3 was when Omega finally reunited with Hunter and Wrecker. She and Crosshair managed to escape from Tantiss. Wrecker and Hunter were searching for her the entire time, and just kept missing her. However, the final time they managed to meet up. She stood at the door of her ship, and Wrecker appeared across the way. They both ran to each other, and hugged. Eventually, Hunter showed his face, and it was one of the best moments in the series.
2: The Return Of Asajj Ventress

Asajj Ventress is one of my favorite Star Wars characters, so I was stoked when she appeared in season 3. She met her fate in the novel Dark Disciple, so her return shocked fans. She came back and aided Omega in her training.
It was great to see her as a free woman, not under the control of anyone or anything. She deserves to live a long and happy life, and I am so glad we got to see her return in season 3.
1: Clone Force 99 Gets Their Happy Ending

I love happy endings, especially in Star Wars. This group went through the ringer in three seasons, so it was nice to see them finally get their happy ending in the finale. Once their enemies have been defeated, and they have a sense of safety, they are able to retire and live out their days on Pabu.
The Bad Batch was truly something special. It told the story of a group of clones who didn’t feel welcome with their brothers because they were “defective.” That never stopped them, however, and even though they lost a brother, another one re-joined them. With the addition of Omega, they were able to fight the Empire and live out their days as a family on Pabu.
