'God Of War: Ragnarok' Leads PlayStation Plus January Library Additions
If there’s still a console war, it’s not what it used to look like. Exclusivity is a fading thing, especially with Phil Spencer’s take on the future of gaming, and Playstation finally launching simultaneously on PC. If it still exists, it’s online and involves game libraries.
The biggest name in the game for some time has been Xbox Game Pass, and they are still pretty much unrivaled, especially when it comes to the sheer breadth of games available, which has grown massive since Xbox acquired big developers like Bethesda and Activision-Blizzard. PlayStation has made up some ground, but comparing the two still leans heavily toward Xbox.
That doesn’t mean PlayStation is going to stop anytime soon They published the PlayStation Plus additions that are coming this month, and there are some heavy hitters in there.
For one, God of War: Ragnarok tops the list. The sequel to the hit relaunch of the God of War franchise, the second game continues to follow Kratos and his son’s journey through Midgard. Other games to make it onto the list include Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, Orcs Must Die 3, SD Gundam Battle Alliance, and the old school return of Medievil 2. If you want to try your hand at learning poker, there’s also Poker Club, or if you can’t wait for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle to come to Playstation, you could try the older Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings.
Nine of the games are available on the PlayStation Plus Extra tier, and two more titles are available to subscribers of the Premium tier.
