With AI making waves in almost every industry, hearing about the lack of it can be a breath of fresh air. Harrison Ford, one of Hollywood’s most respected actors spoke up about both the good of not giving too much power to AI can do, while praising the work of someone else partially taking the mantle of one of his most iconic roles in the recent videogame Indiana Jones And The Great Circle.
Back in 2019, Ford stated that he thought “nobody” else would ever be able to play the iconic character, but he seems to have changed his mind. "You don't need artificial intelligence to steal my soul. You can already do it for nickels and dimes with good ideas and talent," he said of Troy Baker, who provided the voice of Indy in the recently released game. "He did a brilliant job, and it didn't take AI to do it." He stated in another video, "My plan is to keep working behind that face till I don’t care what happens anymore, there won't be any need for me. There's somebody behind me. Doing what I did."
Indiana Jones And The Great Circle is currently available for Windows and XBox Series X/S, with a release for the PS coming later this year.
