LEGO Has Announced A 'One Piece' Set In Collaboration With Netflix
In a surprise reveal, Netflix and LEGO are collaborating to release more than one LEGO set based on Netlfix’s live-action adaptation of the well-known anime One Piece, due to drop sometime before the series’ second season. These upcoming sets represent LEGO’s first collaboration with an anime property.
Announced on January 23rd 2025 via a social media post on X.com, further information from the LEGO Group’s Senior Vice President for Core Businesses, Lena Dixen, praised the collaboration between LEGO, Netflix, and Tomorrow Studios (the creators of the anime) and noted the challenges in developing the yet-to-be-revealed sets. Hopefully, this challenge was fully overcome, as LEGO has been known to produce some flawed interpretations of major vehicles and more from other franchises.
Speaking for Netflix, Vice President of Consumer Products Josh Simon seems confident though and alludes to a range of sets based around some of the most notable moments featuring the main crew from the anime. LEGO also supports this spread of characters and builds, noting the presence of “Luffy, Nami, Roronoa Zoro, Usopp, and Sanji” in particular. They also note that “other pirates, bounty hunters, and corrupt generals…Some [who] turn out to be fierce enemies.” may also appear.
More information will be released in the coming months, and fans should keep an eye on the LEGO One Piece site for those eventual updates.
