'Marvel Rivals' Looks To Add To Roster Every Six Weeks
Face front, true believers, because new information about Marvel Rivals has just dropped. Creative director Guangyun Chen has confirmed that developer NetEase will be adding four new characters to the game every season, two for each half. Every season will be about three months, this means that two new characters will be added roughly every six weeks. The first two new characters added to the game are Invisible Woman and Mr. Fantastic, the rest of the Fantastic Four, the Human Torch and The Thing, will be added in the future. Any future heroes to be added are unknown at this point.
Marvel Rivals was released on December 4 by NetEase Games in collaboration with Marvel Games; Alpha and beta tests took place earlier in the year. The game is a third-person hero shooter for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. The premise revolves around the meeting between two versions of Doctor Doom, leading to an all-out fight between dimensions involving Marvel's heroes and villains alike. The game has proven to be a hit for NetEase, with the game reaching 20 million players within weeks of its launch. The game looks to continue for a while, and these new upcoming updates can only mean more growth.
