2025 marks the 75th anniversary of the release of C.S Lewis’ The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. It’s estimated that the Young Adult Fantasy series, The Chronicles of Narnia have sold over 100 million copies worldwide and been translated into 47 languages. It’s been adapted into stage productions (currently on tour in the UK) and major motion pictures, and there’s a new Netflix movie currently in development.
To mark the 75th birthday, Harper Collins is releasing new covers for the entire series with artwork by Owen Richardson. The dynamic designs feature Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy, with their gifts from Aslan. The iconic Dawn Treader also makes the covers. The illustrator talks through his process in a short video, released on Facebook and the fandom’s website.
