Nintendo Announces Collaboration With LEGO For Game Boy
Nintendo is teaming up with LEGO once again, and this time, it isn’t just a game or character that’s getting the LEGO treatment. Nintendo has just unveiled a LEGO recreation of their Game Boy handheld console. Released in 1989, the Game Boy was one of the first successful handheld consoles and was a huge success for Nintendo. Nintendo of America released a teaser trailer for the LEGO Game Boy, and while it didn’t show off the finished product, it did give us an October 2025 release window. Several bricks are also shown, including recreations of the Game Boy’s iconic buttons.
This isn’t the first Nintendo-LEGO collaboration. Previously, there have been sets based on the Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, and Animal Crossing series. However, this is the first time LEGO has set out to make a replica of one of Nintendo’s consoles. Who knows, in the future, we might see more of Nintendo’s consoles made into LEGO sets, maybe next we’ll see the Nintendo Entertainment System made out of LEGO bricks. It’s a bit too soon to see what’ll come next, but we are all looking forward to the LEGO Game Boy set. We will provide further updates as soon as they are available.
