'Tales Of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Trailer Released

When Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem was released, many TMNT fans (and animation fans altogether) looked upon the movie and wept tears of joy. Not only was the overall character and art design kept fresh and appealing with a stylized "grungy" look, but the dialogue was incredibly well-written and felt natural for the characters. Let's not forget the tense, atmospheric music that helped tie the story beautifully well.
Despite having a rather small budget of $70 million (and an equally small animation team), the film still raked in over $180 million at the box office, with Mutant Mayhem also available to watch on Paramount+. With a new, interesting way to view the TMNT universe, many fans were soon left wondering if/when Nickelodeon would provide a sequel or a spin-off series to the film.

As it turns out, Paramount+ has opened the manhole cover wide enough to reveal that yes, they did have plans on a spin-off series! Discussing Film on X (formerly Twitter) recently posted the first trailer for the upcoming series Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
The upcoming TMNT series seems to share some design philosophy with Mutant Mayhem, despite its 2D animation style, as opposed to the CG animation. The character designs look as how they did in the film, with the art direction following a similar "stylized roughness". While seemingly simple at first glance, not much else is known about Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles outside of this trailer currently. Chances are, dialogue, character interactions, and humor will be reminiscent of Mutant Mayhem. Other characters, such as Master Splinter and April O'Neil, will also most likely reappear in the series, though little has been seen thus far.
For now, however, keep your eyes open for more trailers to drop, as Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be available to view on Paramount+ this Summer.
