A new trailer has dropped for Disney’s sequel Freakier Friday (2025). The Coleman family is back, and things are about to get even stranger. The trailer opens with Anna and Tess getting a reading from a fortune teller who notes that they learned a lesson in the past and that it may be a beneficial one to revisit. Anna has a daughter, Harper, and is about to gain a stepdaughter, Lily. As they “navigate the challenges that come when two families merge,” the switch occurs, sending Tess and Anna’s consciousness into Lily and Harper’s bodies and vice-versa. Singer and LGBTQ+ icon Chappell Roan’s hit “Hot to Go!” plays over the trailer, drawing on the song’s energy to close it on an upbeat note as the family faces the crisis head-on.
Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis are reprising their roles as Anna and Tess Coleman, respectively. Other members of the cast include Julia Butters as Harper Coleman, Sophia Hammons as Lily Davies, Manny Jacinto as Eric Davies, Vanessa Bayer as the fortune teller, and Rosalind Chao returning as Pei-Pei. Nisha Ganatra directed the film, and Jordan Weiss handled the screenplay.
