Release schedules can be fickle things. Films need reshoots; other movies come out that might interfere with the box office you were hoping for, global pandemics (though when has that last one ever happened?); and so on. Warner Bros. is no exception to this. The release schedule for several of its films has shifted, hopefully for the last time, but one never does know.

The headliner here is the long-awaited Final Destination: Bloodlines. Its release date has been changed to May 16th, 2025, a spot previously held by a J.J. Abrams mystery thriller called Flowervale Street, which will now come out on March 13th, 2026. Final Destination 6 will debut two weeks after Disney Marvel’s Thunderbolts (May 2nd) and a week before Mission: Impossible—The Final Reckoning and Disney’s live-action Lilo and Stitch remake. The studio’s justification of this is based on how well certain types of movies do in different months. May is seen as a good month for franchise films, such as Final Destination, and March is a good time for blockbusters, which the studio appears to hope that Flowervale Street will be. For me personally, as a horror fan and especially a fan of the Final Destination series, I can’t wait for May 16th.
