Bruce Campbell Decided To Do The Groovy Thing And Gave Fans A First Look At 'Evil Dead Rise'

Evil Dead fans received a terrifying treat this Halloween.  Bruce Campbell, star of the Evil Dead franchise, shared a creepy first look at Evil Dead Rise on Facebook.

Sam Raimi’s cult classic horror franchise follows a group of friends who inadvertently reawaken dead spirits after reading aloud from an old book, the Necronomicon.  In the original trilogy, Campbell portrayed iconic anti-hero Ash Williams, who is faced with difficult choices of survival once his friends become possessed by demons.

The premiere of the new installment of the franchise, Evil Dead Rise, has been pushed to April after the announcement of its exclusive theatrical release.  While Bruce Campbell does not appear in the film, he has been heavily involved as a producer.  On Facebook, Campbell shared hyped for the new series, posting:

Trick or treat, Deadites. Here is the first peek at Evil Dead Rise - in theaters on April 21. #EvilDeadRise

He included a new still from the movie, which promises to deliver all of the gore and scares that made The Evil Dead an instant horror classic over 40 years ago.

Evil Dead Rise will be released exclusively in theaters on April 21, 2023.
