Dexter Jettster Is Back! The Fan Favorite Chef From 'Attack Of The Clones' Is Getting His Own Short Story
Despite only being in one scene in a single Star Wars movie, Dexter Jettster and his diner have become quite popular since their appearance in Attack of The Clones in 2002. His diner was where the player started in the original Lego Star Wars, and the character has appeared in a large number of fan fiction, while also being a common base for memes.
Dexter’s role in the saga was extremely brief, as he is a restaurant owner who is friends with Obi-Wan, and recognizes a dart shot by Jango Fett as originating from Kamino, leading to Kenobi discovering the clone army. Now, he will get his own chapter in an upcoming book.
The book, named Return of The Jedi From a Certain Point of View will feature 40 short stories, one of which will be about our four-armed friend. "Dexter Jettster thought of the boy he had met on Lenahra and all that the boy would never see," the blurb reads. It describes how without Dex’s brief interaction with Kenobi, the clone wars might not have happened at all, which would have changed the fate of the galaxy as a whole. "He thought of the warrior the boy had become and the war that had been lost. The war Dexter Jettster had helped start."
Return of The Jedi From a Certain Point of View will hit shelves on August 29th.
