First Look At Marvel's 2025 Free Comic Book Day Offerings

It’s one of the most exciting days of the year for nerds. Free comic book day has become an annual tradition, and with comic book movies having gone from niche to having taken over Hollywood in the past couple of decades, there’s nothing holding you back from showing your full-geeky self with absolutely no shame. This year, the date to be saved in May 3, falling directly before Star Wars day, and both will be on a weekend making it extra exciting to anyone who wants to geek out for 48 hours straight.
This year’s headliners are dominated by Marvel.
Fans of superhero teams can look forward to FANTASTIC FOUR/GIANT-SIZE X-MEN #1 . It is written by Ryan North, Collin Kelly, Jackson Lanzing & Chip Zdarsky with art by Humberto Ramos, Edgar Delgado, Chip Zdarsky & Iban Coello. It has been described as “In advance of Marvel’s First Family arriving on the big screen this summer, Ryan North and Humberto Ramos craft an unusual story in which the FANTASTIC FOUR respond to a most unusual interdimensional summons! And on the eve of the birth of the ALL-NEW, ALL-DIFFERENT X-MEN, there is one extra mutant in attendance.”

Those who prefer the webslinger might enjoy AMAZING SPIDER-MAN/ULTIMATE UNIVERSE #1, written by Joe Kelly, Deniz Camp & Cody Ziglar with art by John Romita Jr. & Jonas Scharf.
