Lars Mikkelsen Claims He Hasn't Received An Offer To Play Grand Admiral Thrawn In 'Ahsoka'
Ever since Ahsoka mentioned Grand Admiral Thrawn in the second season of The Mandalorian, and there was a follow-up announcement stating that there would be an Ahsoka series, people were excited for the chance to see Thrawn in live-action. People have been speculating that Lars Mikkelsen, who voiced Thrawn in the Rebels cartoon, would be playing the character in live-action. This claim is not unfounded, given that Katee Sackoff, who originally voiced Bo Katan in The Clone Wars now plays her in Live Action. However, Mikkelsen has stated that he has not yet received an official offer.
Now it is noteworthy that Liam Neeson made similar comments about a possible role as Qui-Gin Jinn in the show Kenobi. As those who have seen Kenobi know, Neeson made a cameo at the end as a force ghost, so an actor denying being in a show but surprising us is possible.

There are some other actors who are reportedly in the show. Natasha Liu Bordizzo will be playing Sabine Wren, and Eman Esfandi will be playing Ezra Bridger. Given that Rebels ended with Ezra and Thrawn being sent to the same location, with Ahsoka and Sabine going off to look for Ezra, it’s quite probable that Thrawn will appear in an antagonistic role in the series.
Ahsoka is set to take place after Return of The Jedi, probably at around the same time as The Mandalorian. It is currently slated for release sometime later this year.
